Q1: Where does Correx Creative Contractor operate?

We’re based in Wallsend and primarily work across Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, and the Hunter Valley. If you’re just outside those areas, get in touch — we’re happy to have a conversation.

Q2: What types of projects do you specialise in?

We specialise in residential construction — renovations, extensions, custom new homes, and duplex builds. If you’re looking to improve an existing property or build something new from the ground up, we can help.

Q3: How long does the building process typically take?

It depends on the scope of the project. A straightforward renovation might take 6–10 weeks, while a custom home or duplex build can run 6–12 months or more. We’ll give you a realistic programme upfront so you know what to expect before work starts.

Q4: Do I need to have my own architectural plans already?

No — you don’t need plans to reach out. We’re happy to get involved early, before the design is locked in. That early input often saves money and avoids problems down the track. If you already have plans, we can work straight from those.

Q5: Do I need council approval, and can you handle that for me?

Most residential building work requires some form of approval before construction can begin. Depending on your project, this will either be a Development Application (DA) lodged with your local council, or a Complying Development Certificate (CDC) approved through a private certifier — which is generally faster.We can advise you on which pathway applies to your project and manage the process on your behalf. Getting this sorted early is important, so it’s one of the first things we work through with new clients.

A bathroom renovation might range from $15k-$40k, while a complete home renovation could be $80k-$300k+, and new builds vary significantly based on size and specifications. We provide free initial consultations to discuss your budget and give you a detailed, transparent quote with no hidden fees.
